Cookie policy

Draft for review. This cookie policy is a draft, prepared on 28 September 2026 for the website proposal. It must be reviewed by a solicitor or data-protection adviser, and checked against a cookie audit of the finished site, before it is published or relied on.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. A website can also save information in your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. In this policy, “cookies” covers both.

Some cookies are strictly necessary for a website to work as you would expect. We can use those without asking. For anything else, such as analytics, we need your consent first.

2. The cookies this website uses

Name Provider What it does How long it lasts Category
eg-consent (saved in local storage, not a cookie) This website Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so the banner doesn’t appear on every page Until you clear this site’s data in your browser Strictly necessary
_ga Google Analytics Tells one visitor apart from another 2 years Analytics, only with your consent
_ga_<container-id> Google Analytics Keeps track of the current visit (session state) 2 years Analytics, only with your consent

The durations shown for the Google Analytics cookies are Google’s defaults. Placeholder: confirm the cookie expiry and data retention settings in our GA4 property (Q33)

We don’t use advertising cookies or social media tracking cookies.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the website, for example which pages are visited and how people find us, so that we can improve it.

Google Analytics only loads if you select “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you select “Reject analytics”, or don’t make a choice, it doesn’t load and its cookies aren’t set.

Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google explains how it uses information from websites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Placeholder: confirm that Google Signals and ads personalisation are switched off in our GA4 property (Q33)

4. Maps from Google

Some pages, including our contact page, show a map from Google Maps, and one client story shows a video from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode, youtube-nocookie.com). When a map or video loads, Google may set its own cookies under its own policy. The map loads as you scroll to it; the “Open in Google Maps” link beside it works without the map. Placeholder: adviser to confirm whether maps and videos should wait for consent (Q09)

When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, and Google may set or read its own cookies, for example to remember preferences or to help protect against fraud. These cookies belong to Google and we don’t control them. Google explains the cookies it uses at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

Links to other websites, such as our LinkedIn page, don’t set cookies on this website. Once you follow a link, the other website’s own cookie policy applies.

6. How to change your choice

You can change your mind at any time.

  • On this website: select “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page and make a new choice.
  • After accepting analytics cookies: if you then reject them, Google Analytics won’t load on the pages you visit afterwards. To remove cookies it has already set, clear this site’s cookies in your browser settings.
  • In your browser: you can block or delete cookies and stored data in your browser settings. If you block everything, the website can’t remember your choice, so the banner may appear again on each visit.

7. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy before we add anything new that stores information in your browser.

This version is a draft dated 28 September 2026. Placeholder: version number and publication date once approved
